1. Overview

hiwap3 is designed to be anonymous. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

2. Video & audio

Video and audio are streamed peer-to-peer (directly between users via WebRTC) and are not recorded or stored on our servers. When a direct connection is not possible, traffic may be relayed through a TURN server solely to establish the call; it is not stored.

3. Chat messages

Text messages are relayed in real time between the two matched users and are not stored after the session ends.

4. Data we process

Connection data (temporary socket IDs, IP address at the network level) needed to route the connection. IP addresses are not shown to other users.
Interests you type, used only to match you and discarded after the session.
Reports submitted by users, kept temporarily for safety and moderation.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use only essential local storage (e.g. your language, theme, and age/cookie confirmation). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Third parties

STUN/TURN servers (for connectivity) and the hosting provider process technical connection data. Fonts and scripts may be loaded from public CDNs.

7. Your rights

As we store minimal, mostly ephemeral data, there is generally no personal profile to access or delete. For questions, contact the site operator.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process data of minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
